A No-Surprise Approach to Smile Makeovers
A beautiful, white smile can do wonders for your confidence. But even a few unsightly chipped, stained, worn, or gapped teeth can be damaging to your self-esteem and the appearance of your smile. Many times, patients who visit us are unhappy with the appearance of their teeth, but are unsure about which part of their smile is causing them concern. Dr. Ghina Morad will address your smile needs and goals, then couple her advanced cosmetic dentistry expertise and training in Digital Smile Design, a smile planning software, and take a collaborative and no-surprise approach to your smile makeover treatment. You will be able to follow your entire smile transformation from start to finish and receive the beautiful, confident smile you visualized day one!
The Smile Makeover Process
Step 1: Initial Consultation
During your initial consultation, we will take photos and a video as you are talking so we can determine your smile line and upper lip placement. Then we will use the Digital Smile Design software to begin designing each new tooth with the correct proportions. To help pinpoint your ideal smile, you can choose photos of people whose teeth you like.
Step 2: Photo Consultation
We will educate you on the types of teeth the people in your photos have. This gives us insight into the vision you have for your new smile, and the photo(s) you finalize together will aid in the designing of your new smile.
Step 3: Adjustment
We will utilize the Digital Smile Design software to begin adjusting the design and predicting your future smile. As part of this process, you will be able to view your digital smile and tweak it together until you are satisfied with the look.
Step 4: Mockup
Based on the final digital design, we will create a wax-up of your new smile in-house. From there, we will create an acrylic mock-up, so you can visualize and physically test out your beautiful new smile, before any treatment begins.
Step 5: Finalization
Once all modifications have been made and you are satisfied with your new smile, we will finalize the design. By this time, we will have a clear definition of the smile you want and you will know exactly what to expect and be aware of any limitations.
Step 6: Implementation
Collaborating with you every step of the way, Dr. Morad will carry out your customized treatment, commonly using dental veneers, to create your beautiful smile.
Our Veneer Options
- Porcelain Veneers: highly durable and long-lasting option that is fabricated at an outside lab and requires slight altering of the tooth enamel before placement.
- Composite Veneers: less-invasive and reversible option that provides minimal wait time since they are shaped and sculpted to the tooth right in the office.
What If I Have More Complicated Oral Health Problems?
Occasionally, Dr. Morad sees patients who need more comprehensive treatment to correct oral health issues, in addition to fixing cracked or worn teeth. A full mouth reconstruction may be necessary to help restore the mouth to a state that is both fully functional and aesthetically pleasing. This ensures that, along with improving the aesthetics of your smile, any underlying oral issues will be resolved and you can enjoy great oral health with the benefit of a beautiful, new smile.

Customized Treatments for Beautiful, Predictable Results
People who are unhappy with how their smile looks after treatment oftentimes did not get to be a part of the design process itself. Dr. Morad collaborates with you every step of the way, from digital images to hand-sculpted wax-ups and final application. This allows her to both fully understand your definition of an ideal smile and problem-solve any potential issues that may arise during the design process. Dr. Morad has also received advanced hands-on smile design training at the University of the Pacific, and is a member of the Bay Area Aesthetic Masters study club. This advanced knowledge of facial aesthetics and digital software helps her provide you with the most predictable and beautiful smile transformations.
